Are you a glass half-empty or half-full sort of person? Studies have shown that both can impact your physical and mental health and that being a positive thinker is always the better of the two. Having a positive attitude will lead you to have a more productive, healthy, and happy lifestyle in every aspect of your life! We all have our days, but these are the things we do to try and stay positive and productive!
THINGS THAT HELP US STAY POSITIVE:
Most important thing to do is be nice to yourself! How can you be happy when you are constantly thinking negative thoughts about yourself? Your thoughts and words to yourself are portrayed into your life. Positive thoughts and words will manifest into positive outcomes! Good in = good out :)
Move your body!! Working out releases happy hormones and chemicals in your brain. Even a 20 minute walk a day to get your body moving will help!
Focus on the good things that are going on in your life. Even when things aren’t going as planned try to find something good about the situation and only focus on that. For example, If someone cancels plans focus on the good things that come out of it. Like the extra free time you have to do things for yourself.
Practice gratitude - Practicing gratitude has been shown to reduce stress, improve self-esteem, and foster resilience even in very difficult times. When your thoughts go negative, think of things, people or places that bring you comfort and happiness.
Eat a balanced diet - eating foods that are nutritious and good for you determine how you feel! Eating junk all the time will make you feel slow and sluggish!
Spend time with positive and like minded people. You are who you surround yourself with, if you spend all of your time with people who drain you then you will always feel down. Find a good group of friends who bring light into your life!
Journal- get a journal & write down what you want to manifest in your life. Write down positive affirmations & also a few things you’re grateful for!
TIPS ON HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE:
Get into a routine! Having a routine to follow will help you be more productive throughout the day!
Try to wake up 30 minutes earlier than you normally do! Give yourself more time for a solid morning routine.
Get a good nights sleep! 8 hours is ideal for a perfect nights rest. Try going to bed earlier than normal and shutting off social media before bed. Keep a pen and paper by ur bed and write down positive things that happened to you during the day to create positive thoughts in ur mind to allow you to fall asleep faster and better.
Make a to-do list at the beginning of each day and check it off every time you complete a task!
Try to not get on your phone as soon as you wake up. Allow yourself some time to yourself before you jump into the day.
Take a break when you need one! It’s okay to take breaks our body needs them. Don’t be hard on yourself whenever you don’t finish everything you needed to. Not everyday you are going to be super productive and that’s ok! Get up and try again tomorrow.
