Exercise is a powerful stress reducer. It improves your mood and helps you stay healthy. If you have been in a slump, starting a small workout routine everyday will help you feel so much better!
2. ICE TRICK
A tip for anxiety relief: Rub ice on your face or put your face in a bucket of ice. Put your face in a bucket of ice for 15 seconds, come up and breathe then repeat until your nervous system has calmed.
3. GET OUTSIDE
One of the things that we have found that helps us a lot is getting outside. Get off of your phone, stop scrolling on social media and go outside. You could go for a walk or you could just sit and enjoy the fresh air.
4. Meditating
Meditating is great for anxiety and stress. The breathe is one of the most powerful tools we can use. Sitting and breathing is amazing for helping calm down. Here is a YouTube meditation guidance we like to use. https://youtu.be/ZToicYcHIOU
BOOKS WE SUGGEST YOU READ
When was the last time you sat down and read a book? Instead of scrolling through instagram, which could actually be what’s triggering your anxiety in the first place, read a book! Reading is proven to reduce stress and increase relaxation. Here are a few books we highly recommend.
THINGS THAT HELP CLEAR YOUR MIND
- Coloring has the ability to relax the fear center of your brain, the amygdala. It induces the same state as meditating by reducing the thoughts of a restless mind. This generates mindfulness and quietness, which allows your mind to get some rest after a long day at work.
- The anxiety supplement is a natural supplement and great for stress relief.
.- Journaling is a highly recommended stress-management tool. Journaling can help reduce anxiety, lessen feelings of distress, and increase well-being.
- Taking a hot bath will help relax your mind and body. Adding in soothing essential oils or epsom salts help you let go after a stressful day.
